Concept of profiled risk pension funds: in search for the optimum design

Summary/Abstract: Experience related to the functioning of capital pension market in Poland during the period of the past decade, makes it necessary to match the existing standards in this respect to the international solutions. It refers to both the functioning of pension funds and the tools of increasing their assets and the improvement of investment policy. The author has shown the concept of profiled-risk pension funds, whose introduction is aimed at a better protection for their participants to be ensured. Its essence is to match the type of invest- ment risk to the characteristics of a participant (age, period of occupational activity and insurance).
