Polish system of state-supported export insurance – de lege ferenda comments

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to provide analysis of the export insurance system in Poland due to the demand for this type of insurance cover among polish businesses. However, the experience learned during the time the system has been in place indicates that despite a general positive assessment, it does not meet fully the expectations of businesses, and therefore, it needs to be changed. The author diagnoses the terms applied currently in export insurance, identifies their weaknesses and presents postulates for changes in the system in order to ensure that future export insurance terms become more accessible to Polish exporters.
