Summary/Abstract: The Taliban Movement has been one of the parties in Afghanistan for nearly 30 years. The Taliban administration, which was overthrown after the September 11 terrorist attacks, dominated Afghanistan again on August 15, 2021. States interested in Afghanistan are developing their Afghanistan policy by taking the Taliban reality into consideration. One of the states that follows Afghanistan closely is the Russian Federation. The question of the article is what the priorities of Moscow's Taliban policy are and the method it follows to achieve its goals. As the article assumes, Moscow follows Taliban policy, taking into account the US approach to the Taliban. However, although Russia has developed relations with the Taliban, it believes that it will not be able to achieve its goals in Afghanistan through the Taliban, and on the one hand, it strengthens its military presence in Central Asia, and on the other hand, it attempts to act together with the international community instead of recognizing the Taliban.
