Summary/Abstract: Taking up on the pages of "Insurance News" "the issue of retirement age" is substantively justified, since the "insurability" of the age parameter (including retirement age), if only from the point of view of life insurance construction, is undoubtedly important. However, serious doubts should be raised about the recognition of increasing (not lengthening or raising, as such terms are illogical) the retirement age as an extraordinary factor in improving (the effectiveness and efficiency) of the pension system in Poland, which resulted from the government's arguments, mainly of a demographic nature, in favor of amending the Social Security Act.
