Summary/Abstract: Migration processes related to the current geopolitical situation in the world and the increasing mobility of humanity are becoming and increasing challenge for current international politics as well as for the Church. The community of faith is obliged to take care of the so-called „people on the move”. This article presents some of the Church’s teaching on migrants. The publication shows the theological foundations of the Church’s concern for migrants based on the biblical texts of both the Old and New Testaments. The article also shows that the migration processes themselves should be considered in terms of signs of the times and a specific challenge for the community of faith. The article also presents individual groups of migrants and the way in which the Church should engage in their care, both temporal and spiritual. This text also presents some organizational mechanisms that should appear in the Church so that it can take care of migrants more effectively.
