TOPOI IN THE DIDACTIG GOSPEL BY CONSTANTINE OF PRESLAV

Summary/Abstract: The empirical material which is addressed in the article is restricted only within the frame of the original introductory parts in the homilias from the Didactic gospel by bishop Constantine of Preslav. We are using the earliest transcript of the gospel which survived. On the one hand, a subject to purposeful observations are the rhetorical topoi which are either related personally to the author, Constantine of Preslav, or to the impact of the text over the audience. On the other hand, such observations are made on the thematic topoi which are related to the Christian exegetic messages in the sermons. These messages are a product of the homiletical tradition.
