Summary/Abstract: The text is devoted to the Old Bulgarian author of 10th century - Peter Chernorizets, and it offers some initial research on the impact of patristic preaching tradition and in particular John Chrysostom’s influence on Peter Chernorizets’ work. There is also a comment on the rhetorical techniques in Peter Chernorizets’ works, and conclusions about the dissemination of his words in the manuscript books and incunabula.
