The problem of choosing the shortsest route in the network of agri-food transport

Summary/Abstract: Many management problems related to the optimisation of transport systems, designing information systems or certain logistics issues can be presented as network problems and solved using appropriate mathematical algorithms. The scale of transport planning depends on the number of loads and the number of recipients. Logistics management in the transport of agri-food products consists of the organi- sation of transport activities by combining many forwarding and transport functions and is aimed at improving the movement of resources both in the sphere of supply, production and distribution. The article’s main purpose is to present the task of a travelling salesman and the possibilities of its use in optimising the transport of agri-food products.
