Summary/Abstract: The current economy is developing and changing at a very fast pace. It is undergoing changes, which are largely the result of the rapid development of digital technologies. Globalisation and the development of technology contribute to the development of innovation and competitiveness, which are growing on a large scale. Nowadays, transport is very important for the development of the economy. Industry 4.0 is an umbrella term that includes advanced automation systems, data exchange and production systems technologies. The concept of Industry 4.0 does not refer only to one technology and one-off development, but to a group of tech- nologies that affect the development of enterprises and their dynamics. Currently, many segments are being developed, which are being improved with modern sys- tems and new technologies. Transport is no exception here because it is subject to constant changes, and progressive digitisation is becoming an inseparable element in transport. Modern Industry 4.0 technologies in transport enable the improvement of many aspects (i.e. work organisation, time-saving and cost reduction). Streamli- ning processes in transport comes down to their modernisation and improvement. Each technology used is a great support for transport. The aim of the study is to define solutions in the field of road transport, taking into account urban space and using modern Industry 4.0 technologies.
