With nostalgia and in Order to Remember

Summary/Abstract: Café, pub and pastry shop are a phenomenon of culture, revealing the lives of bohemians, artists, of those who have found there a harbor, some sup- port and a way to be with themselves through the other. These places were a kind of pier for tired people, for irreconcilable people and for seekers, for people with creative spirit, tormented by doubts, but rich of insights and hopes. Formerly they were of great importance for the spiritual life of our country. now they are fading memory stored in memoirs and yellowing photographs. This text presents several drinking establishments in Sofia, and the experience of the author in some of them.
