Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to provide a framework for the importance of family participation in the educational processes of individuals with special educational needs in the field of literature. Special education is the process in which educational programs developed to ensure the adaptation of individuals to society, which differ significantly from their peers in academic and social fields, are carried out with the support of educators and staff trained in their field. It is very important that education is supported by the family in the effort to provide individuals with special educational needs with various knowledge and skills in order to be like their peers. For this reason, it should be ensured that the cooperation between the school and the family ensures that the special education process reaches its goal Decently and effectively. It is very important that the individual who needs special education support is also supported by his/her parents in non-school settings in order to see the targeted benefit from the education he/she has received.
