Summary/Abstract: When folklore products are examined in a broad framework, it sees a junction point for different branches of science. The cultural elements it contains are both a richness and a gateway to interdisciplinary approaches for folklore. From this point of view, oral tradition products are seen as the most important references especially for oral history. In these products, poems, legends and oral narrations, which are the expression of the epic tradition, especially laments, draw attention. The subject to be discussed in this context the struggles of Avşars and Cadoğlu Ahmet Ağa in the 19 th century and the reflections of this struggle on oral culture. In this context, when the poems of Dadaloğlu, one of the most important representatives of 19th century folk poetry, are examined, it is possible to find the struggles of the Avşars, the society in which he lived. In some of the poems collected within the Dadaloğlu oral culture circle, the struggles of Cadoğlu and Avşars are portrayed. It is possible to find this struggle not only in Dadaloğlu’s poems, but also in the oral narratives of Cadoğlu’s family members. In the poems compiled from family members, we encounter verses that take the same readers to history. It is possible to come across the traces of a fight belonging to the period of Sultan Abdülmecid when both the poems sung for Cadoğlu and Dadaloğlu’s poems are compared. The formation of the event, time, persons, places appear as witnesses of the experience that has survived to the present day. More importantly, the products obtained have preserved their place in the narrative tradition as a body of oral notes conveying history. In the study, the compilation technique was used, the literature was searched together with the interviews, the internet resources were applied and the historical acceptance was tried to be sought with the obtanied data.
