Summary/Abstract: In business, it is well known that there is a strong link between project planning and project success, namely, the better your plan, the better your outcome. We teachers, as all professionals do, would like to see our work pay off. We would like to see that the teaching and learning objectives we set, along with the instruments we use, help us get the expected results in a certain timeframe. It resembles a business plan, where PPM (Project Planning Matrix) is used to constantly check the project’s success and relevance. Consequently, success is about goals, actions, and results, but it is also about stakeholders and context. Therefore, we believe that we cannot have a good education system (or good teaching and learning results) without a deep understanding of its stakeholders and context. Being two very broad topics, we knew we wouldn’t be able to fully cover them both. That is why we have decided to focus our present research only on aspects related to the digital world and the way it impacts some of the stakeholders, namely our students. As a research tool, we used the survey because we believe that this type of approach can be easily replicated at the beginning of every academic year or whenever we feel the need to understand our students better.
