Summary/Abstract: Under the general title “The Folklore in the Region of Ivaylovgrad” ten reports are presented here, originally read on a conference held at the Institute of Folklore in Sofia, in December 1991. Most of the authors had taken part in a fieldwork programme studying the folklore of the people living in the region of Ivaylovgrad, carried out in 1985–1991. The materials collected as a result of that field study (texts, tape records, photographs, video films) are kept at the Archive of the Institute of Folklore. ...
