Summary/Abstract: In the article I examine the problem of emotional ambivalence in the context of organizational change and growth using psychoanalytical theories and an idea of organizational personality. Ambivalence may involve a whole combination of positive and negative feelings (happiness, anxiety, fear, pride) and it is always relational one. My primary focus is to answer how members of an organization respond to ambivalence and how they cope with own emotional ambivalence. This theoretical paper describes an ambivalence as a natural reaction to organizational change. The thesis has been accepted that while manifestations of ambivalence in the members organization are natural, the way to deal with ambivalence in the organization contributes to its success not only in terms of organizational change.
