Summary/Abstract: In numerous scientific disciplines of national importance, Muhamed Hadžijahić made an immeasurable contribution. His research into oral literary tradition and alhamijado literature is particularly important for the history of Bosniak literature. In this paper, we tried to bring closer everything he did in the field of studying alhamijado (folk) literature and critically valorize some of his literary-historical and literary-critical views. We found that they were influenced by socio-political circumstances and the dynamics of discursive practices in the social sciences and humanities of the 20th century. On the whole, Hadžijahić's works show a kaleidoscopic – even contradictory – and complex picture of interpretations of alhamijado literature, but also a special transformation of his scientific and critical habitus.
