Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the analysis of selected practical aspects of the administrative proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority on the consent to the appointment of the board member (including the CEO and the board member who is responsible for the risk management) of the insurance or reinsurance company (operating in the legal form of a joint stock company). The article focuses on the characteristic of the administrative proceedings in the aforesaid case; there is also the description of the selected practical problems that have occurred during the administrative proceedings conducted by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority under the provisions of the Act of 22 May 2003 on the insurance operations (Journal of Law of 2015, item. 1206, as amended.), and which problems – as it can be reasonably presumed – may also occur during the administrative proceedings conducted by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority under the provisions of the Act of 11 September 2015 on insurance and reinsurance operations (Journal of Law of 2015, pos. 1844).
