Summary/Abstract: The present approach is a foray into the concept of library marketing and a plea for its use in the transit phase towards digitalization. As a useful tool for reshaping the library reality, we can use it to create practical strategies in line with the development of technology. The role of the library remains largely unchanged, but the methods by which it achieves its purpose are now different compared to the past. We recall the last few years which have also involved social distancing, the lack of physical presence of students in classes due to the shift to the online environment through distance learning, all of which have also had a significant impact on the number of users in the university library, reducing their frequency in the reading rooms. It has been necessary to provide them with guidance and virtual materials, by adapting procedures designed to facilitate the process of using library resources. The information and documentation sciences specialist is thus a facilitator for users and potential users, both by being present in the library and by adapting the library through digitalization and offering remote library services.
