Summary/Abstract: The members of the judicial panel in criminal cases have a legal obligation under art. 33 (2) of the Bulgarian Criminal Procedure Code to keep the deliberations secret. The article examines the main aspects of this obligation: 1) its nature and significance; 2) time limits; 3) methods and forms of its violation; 4) the problems arising with the introduction of the Unified Information System of the Courts.
