Summary/Abstract: The playful desire for mapping of the human mind may be stirred up by the desire for narrative, as suggested by Robert T. Tally in his complex, thought-provoking, interdisciplinary approach entitled "Topophrenia. Place, Narrative and the Spatial Imagination". Topophrenia is understood as ”place-mindedness”. It refers not only to the spatial imagination as to a specific place in some narrative but to the connectivity between conceptions and feelings about that place. We long for a feeling associated with a place, rather than for a place of neutral connotations. In reality, a space is rooted in its elements as well as in its impossibilities.
