Summary/Abstract: In the new reality, after Poland regained its independence, the authorities of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family under took some steps in order to establish a monastery in Wieluń. It happener after the approval expressed by bishop Stanisław Zdzitowiecki in 1920. In the following year, the monastery of the former Post-Augustinian Conventin Wieluń was taken over by the above-mentioned Congregation. Soon, the pastoral work developed and the rep air work of the mediewal convent started. Missionaries placed particular emphasis on Catechesis, preach- ing missions and services. A novitiate was established simultaneously to a missionary school – an eight-year secondary school for men, which was attended by students from the en tire territory of the district of Wieluń. However, the outbreak of the Second World War disrupted an intensive development of the activity of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family and the convent suffered material damage then. In 1946, the convent was handel over to the Diocese of Częstochowa.
