Summary/Abstract: In the life partner agreement, the term „life“ should be understood as the targeted non-legal condition with possible legal consequences, under „partner“ – the relationship between two persons of different sexes with the intention of living together, and under „agreement“ – the process of sharing of interest and intention, mutual bidding, planning and reaching an agreement to share everyday life. Cohabitation differs from concubinage in that it is still a process, whereas cohabitation is an already achieved de facto state of cohabitation without marriage. N the first case, the process is expressed in the negotiation. That is, the life partnership agreement is a neologism (introduced by the present work) for the pre-contractual and contractual relations of a personal nature concerning future cohabitation between a man and a woman. The difference between the life partner agreement and the promise of marriage is that the stipulation for the former is only for actual cohabitation, and the stipulation for the latter is for a formal status condition reflected in public registers.
