Summary/Abstract: Over the years, many eminent people have tried to agree on a definition that encompasses the multitude of meanings of the concept of communication, and that can be applied both in the field of social sciences and in other fields. Communication is a very general term that can group a number of meanings, depending on the context and the situation in which we find ourselves. The French theorist Bernard Voyenne states that the exchange of information and ideas are as important to society as breathing is to the body. "To live in society is to communicate."
