Summary/Abstract: Russian pedagogue K.D. Usinski defined play as a form of free activity, through whichthe child develops his creative capacities and learns to know his own possibilities. Healso specified the formative role of the game, especially at the preschool age: "Thegame represents the free activity of the child and if we compare the interest that thegame has,(...), the diversity of the traces it leaves in the child's soul, with thehomologous influences which the teaching exercises and the first 4-5 years, it isobvious that the supremacy is held by the game" ("Theories about the game -Preschool Pedagogy", page 114).
