Summary/Abstract: The present study reconstructs the evolution of the literary-political thinking of Octavian Goga, in which anti-Semitism has steadily grown, eventually earning a distinctive place. While, in the beginning, “The poet of our Passions” pleaded especially for the exclusion of Jews – whom he considered factors of degradation – from the Romanian journalism and literature, thus denoting a striking literary anti-Semitism, in the end his theses shifted in a political direction. His successive regimentations to increasingly radical political movements, seen as the outcome of his ever more extreme anti-Semitic theses, are also analyzed, as well as the policies he promoted at the time he held governmental positions.
