Summary/Abstract: Nowadays the priority key to gaining an advantage is the information possessed and acquired, as well as the knowledge created, as well as the ability to use it. The knowledge consciously developed by the officers of the Polish Army is a resource to which special attention should be shown. This is especially important in situations of military threat and the ongoing hybrid war in the east. In order to find out the preferences regarding the sources of expanding their knowledge by officers, research was carried out using the diagnostic survey method, where the tool was a questionnaire. The research results illustrate the sources of knowledge about hybrid conflict, barriers to obtaining infor- mation and information distortions in the cognitive process.
