Summary/Abstract: This review article discusses the book Odkrywanie tajemnic Harry’ego Pottera. Hogwart. Gryffindor [Harry Potter’s Mysteries Solved: Hogwart. Gryffindor] by Agnieszka Kobrzycka (2020). The article analyses the publication in the context of the past over 20 years of so-called Harry Potter studies in Poland and worldwide. It also shows how the attitude of researchers towards the book series has changed over the years. Later on, the author of the review article describes the most important assumptions and the aims of Kobrzycka’s research. Then, he polemises with claims presented by Kobrzycka. He also argues with the charges against the translator of the series, Andrzej Polkowski, and highlights some technical deficiencies found in the reviewed monograph.
