Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author gives an overview of the different ways that the European Court's decisions might influence different legal systems of the CoE's member states, emphasizing three questions: relationship between the European Convention on Human Rights and the domestic legal system; direct application of the European Convention by domestic courts in cases brought before them; and enforcement of decisions of the European Court for Human Rights.
