Summary/Abstract: Science has progressed over time, achieving immense achievements starting from the knowledge of man and up to that of the universe. Some knowledge was acquired individually and even by chance, but most through collective efforts within research structures (specialized institutes, academies, universities, etc.). Scientific achievements have facilitated man's work and changed the ratio between physical work, dominant at the beginning, and intellectual work, with an ever-increasing weight today and even more so in the future. The evolution of science can never be stopped by anyone just as the passage of time or the evolution of life on earth cannot be stopped. Science and technology have had a major positive impact on the health of society as a permanent constant over time. Without these two factors, we cannot imagine what humanity would look like today. Even children today do not understand what life was like for their parents, but especially for their grandparents, without cell phones, televisions, air travel, electronic computers, tablets, highways, online education, lasers, artificial intelligence, robots, solar panels, appliances high-performance medical and more. Unfortunately, science and technology have also had a negative impact on the health of society. This impact has not been manifested in its fullness, but the potential is immense with huge consequences and may even lead to the disappearance of man from the earth. Such an apocalyptic end can be reached either intentionally (see the irresponsible statements of some current political leaders) or as a result of errors that may occur in the management of systems with immense destructive capabilities.
