Summary/Abstract: Besides the known types of companies, the French Government established the new group by the Ordonnance as of September 23rd, 1967, which is economic interest group. This type of business entity is a genuine legal entity, similar to associations and business entities, like consortium, English partnership, joint venture and trade partnership. Objective of establishing this type was clear: to enable grouping of business entities in order to conduct business activity easily on great European and global market. Special economic conditions which had motivated the Government to pass this Ordonnance was determination of low level of concentration of French business entities compared with English and German entities, which lag was obvious during the 1960s.
