Summary/Abstract: The study is based on the idea that the gnoseology and epistemology of Lucian Blaga meet inside his philosophical system due to a unique and original perspective of knowledge-creation. This knowledge-creation perspective is revealed especially with regard to Luciferic knowledge, which implies both an original metaphysics proposed by Lucian Blaga, but also a special epistemology described by pragmatism. In this respect the author emphasizes also the argument of Michael Jones. Knowledge is part of this metaphysical vision of the totality of existence. In its capacity as a constitutive part of an architectural edifice, knowledge is imposed as something to be constituted and not necessarily as something to be discovered. In this way of problematizing knowledge resides the pragmatist strand, with integrative qualities, paradoxically, even intertwined with Blaga’s original metaphysical vision, with confluences in E. Husserl, G. Bachelard, Șt. Lupașcu, C. O. Schrag.
