Summary/Abstract: Forests play vital roles in the environment and the economy. At the same time, they influence and are influenced by climate changes, in multidimensional manners. The present article constitutes an attempt to describe and assess the actual response of the international and the EU law to the question about the role of forests in the climate policy.
