Summary/Abstract: The dynamics of global economy has decreased and its further prospects are weak. The EU economies are in a state of a moderate recession. Current anti-crisis measures have short-term character and in the long perspective may prove ineffective. The EU countries face a challenge of mutualization of debt and banking system problems, and of finding the balance between fiscal discipline and measures for economic recovery. The downturn in the EU economy has worsened Polish export prospects. The current stage of Euro zone crisis and attempts undertaken to resolve it have increased interest in Polish securities. In effect, the share of foreign debt in total debt has risen.
