Summary/Abstract: The work explores the mutual references of utopia and ecology based on literary works, in particular, "Brave New World" by A. Huxley. Ecology as an analysis of mutual connections in nature, was not of concern to the authors of utopias until the nineteenth century. Then two different tendencies emerged - the unification of utopia as a perfect system with nature and, on the contrary, the complete subordination of nature to the politic and economic.
