Summary/Abstract: In the paper author discusses the issue of shaping e-government through the establishment of an appropriate legal system (in addition to the one that already exists) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Analyzing the existing normative framework, special attention was paid to the fundamental legal assumptions for the establishment of e-government. Although it has adopted modern legislation, the legal framework for modern electronic services in Bosnia and Herzegovina lacks, in the author's opinion, a basic element, which is a special law on egovernment. Such a law would represent the substantive and organizational basis for the implementation of e-government as a modern service delivery system.
