Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the results of a structured interview with children aged 6–7, on the scope of their competencies related to their ideas – in general for nature and the world, and in particular for space, the planet of the solar system and related processes and phenomena. The obtained results will help develop and test an educational astronomical program for children.
