Summary/Abstract: The article examines the social work and professional activity of a social worker in the field of child protection. Social work is a profession that includes professional guidance, counseling and solving social problems of the individual in order to increase his individual security. The reform in our country in the field of child protection is aimed at creating conditions for raising each child in a family environment, reducing the share of children in specialized institutions and creating mechanisms and systems to ensure the provision of quality care and services for children, temporarily or permanently separated from their biological families.
