Challenges in Technological Translations

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the challenges the technological translation could face when it is performed by a linguist. We aim to explain why technological knowledge is compulsory and essential when attempting to translate a technological document. We divided the paper into two parts: the former explains the use of technological vs. technical translation while the latter focuses on the most important characteristics of technological translations, emphasizing the importance of using a clear language in this type of documents. We also make a comparison between a translation carried out by a specialist and a translation carried out by a linguist.
