Summary/Abstract: Personal archival funds consist of a set of documents that have been organically created during the life and work of individuals who have played an important role in the socio-political life of a community or country. In addition to the general funds and collections, the Kosovo Archives also preserves a considerable number of personal funds of various origins, which are important and valuable testimonies for the study of local and regional history and prominent personalities of public life, culture and social policy of our country. Our contribution aims to highlight the value and importance of the use and exploitation of these collections preserved in the Kosovo Archives for scholarly purposes, as well as to present the need for their protection and digitisation as a necessary opportunity for the preservation of these collections and as a facilitator for more efficient access for interested parties.
