Summary/Abstract: In Paris and Geneva the issue was discussed in vain until 1925. On 22 January 1925, the initiative to revive the issue of the Monastery of St. Naum and Vermosh was again raised by the President of the Conference of Ambassadors, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Herrio. He appealed to the Albanian and Yugoslav governments to engage in direct talks between them in order to reach a "satisfactory" agreement on the disputed border. Given that direct talks failed to yield concrete results, they were interrupted at the end of March 1925. The Albanian Government asked the Conference of Ambassadors to rule on a solution to the problem, showing no doubt that it would be dealt with in the spirit of justice and equality. The Yugoslav government began with pressures of various natures. It began threatening Zog with its antiZogist political immigration card located in Yugoslavia. The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies jointly, on 18.VII. 1925, accepted an exchange of land between the two states in principle and authorized the Government to conclude the required agreements in line with the interests of the Albanian state. The proposal was adopted with 40 votes in favour, 8 against and 1 abstention. On the other hand, on 14 October 1925, “The Legislative Assembly, based on the letter of the Government and explanations given by Mehdi Frashëri, the border delegate, unanimously approved the agreement reached between the Albanian and Yugoslav governments, according to the proposal of the Conference of Ambassadors, which involved the ratification of the Northern border in a part of Velipoja and in the South, towards St. Naum. On 30 July 1926, the members of the Conference of Ambassadors in Paris, in the presence of the representatives of Albania, Yugoslavia and Greece, signed the final act on the borders of Albania, which was recorded in the Secretariat of the League of Nations.
