Summary/Abstract: This study’s objective is to analyse the conceptual metaphors based on natural phenomena and natural elements present in phraseological units. We are talking about metaphors based on the following terms: stone, storm and sea. This study’s innovation consists in an analysis of some metaphors in two different languages with the aim of observing the way these terms represent two different cultures, which actually have the same root: Latin.
