Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the academic library activities that correspond to the challenges of a modern university, its mission, and goals. Using the example of the Library of the Silesian University of Technology, organisational changes are discussed, as well as examples of implemented tasks that are in line with the document “Development strategy of the Silesian University of Technology for the years 2020–2026”.
