The project was initiated by the idea of Assoc. Prof. Krassimira Aleksandrova, director of the institution, to tell interesting stories about some of the most precious and valuable documents stored in the NL of Bulgaria. The largest part of the publication is dedicated to a copy of The Anatomy Of Humane Bodies, composed by William Cowper, printed in 1698. It with its curious story of creation and its individual life through the centuries is one of our pearls of the crown.
