Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of the reception of the film Clergy (Kler) directed by Wojciech Smarzowski in four of the most popular Polish weekly magazines. The author analysed the texts that appeared in Polityka, Newsweek, Sieci and Do Rzeczy in September and October 2018, just after the premiere of the film. The most common ways of conducting discourse on the subject of Clergy have been pointed out. Discourse which are associated with the divisions characterizing the contemporary press market in Poland and with the most important trends appearing on this market.
