Summary/Abstract: The study aims to analyse one of the most subtle and, at the same time, most challenging dimensions of communication in art: silence. The role of silence in the process of artistic communication and its different meanings in relation to other means of expression are the subject of numerous theoretical research and philosophical reflections.
