Summary/Abstract: This study analyzes the integration of narratives in the universe of journalistic practices for constructing the Covid-19 pandemic in the Romanian press. We investigate how journalists from some publications have used narrative techniques to depict the reality of the pandemic using a military doctor’s story from his Facebook page. Studies on journalistic practices through a narratological prism (Grevisse, 1997; Lits, 2001, 2011, 2012) show that the media resort to the use of emotional memories, particularly in the context of unusual experiences to explain events. In the pandemic, journalists have turned to the testimonies of medical professionals narrated on their social media accounts in order to render the dimension of the pandemic and to cover the event as it unfolded. In the research process, we used a narratological approach to the media narrative (récit médiatique) (Grevisse, 1997; Lits, 2011, 2012) used as journalistic practice (Vanoost, 2013; Pélissier & Eyriès, 2014). The study corpus consists of three news stories based on the story of the military doctor selected from a quality newspaper - Adevărul, a tabloid - Libertatea, and from the HotNews site.
