Summary/Abstract: Sustainable development and digitization are two topics of great interest both for researchers and for the policy-decision makers. Thus, the aim of this paper is to analyze the relationship between digitization and sustainable development, between 2016-2021, within the member countries of the European Union. For this ppurpose, we will use the DESI index to quantify the digitalization and the SDG (Sustainable Development Goal Index) and Green Growth Index to measure the sustainable development, using the Pearson correlation matrix, followed by making of scatterplots and OLS regressions The estimates show that there are statistically significant positive relationships between DESI, SDG, and GGI, which further suggest that digitization can positively influences sustainable economic growth.
