Summary/Abstract: In this research paper I will present the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war on the European stock markets by means of stock indexes. The period of analysis is 24 february 2022 – 25 march 2022. In the first half I will show the positions of the stock markets before the beginning of the war. In the second half I will present the real evolution of the top 5 most important european stock indexes in the selected time frame, at the same time analyzing the stock indexes of the russian stock market – Moscow Exchange for the same period of time. Through this paper, I will show the major influence of the political-economic decision taken by the EU and USA on the European stock indexes.
