USING THE SOCMINT TECHNIQUE FOR INFORMATION GATHERING IN THE WORK OF MODERN JOURNALIST

Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the topic of how a journalist using SOCMINT technology ob- tains data and information, as well as the issue of the workshop of the modern journalist in the age of technology. The area explored concerns the essence of the role and function of social media in the journalistic profession. The aim is to indicate the process of obtaining information for journalistic material and to show the speed and ease of finding such in- formation through social media. The article analyses articles based on information, data and multimedia from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
