Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the works of two Russian émigré authors of the first generation, V. Lebedev and N. Terlecky. It focuses on their contacts with Czech literature, on their translations; in the case of Lebedev on the translations of Czech poets V. Nezval and J. Wolker, in the case of Terlecky on the translations of his own prose and later on his works written in Czech. The author uses these translations and Czech texts to present these two writers’ place in the context of Russian emigration in Czechoslovakia of the 1920-1940s as unique. They represent those few Russian authors who actively attempted to pursue dialogue with the Czech literary and cultural scene.
